An adult 6-day pass costs €367.50 for Val Thorens-Orelle and €421 for the 3 Vallées from 19 December 2026, because every 6-day pass is sold at the price of five days:
| Pass | Dates | Adult 18–74 | Junior 5–17 | Veteran 75+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Val Thorens-Orelle, 6 days | 21 November – 18 December | €330.50 | €271 | €82.50 |

The list has no 5-day pass, only ‘5 days + 1 free’: if you plan five days, the sixth is free. Days run consecutively, rest days included. Beyond six days, each extra main-season day adds €54 to an adult pass at Val Thorens-Orelle and €65 for the 3 Vallées, up to 15 days.
Val Thorens-Orelle or 3 Vallées: which pass should you buy?
Take the Val Thorens-Orelle pass to ski around Val Thorens all week, and the 3 Vallées pass for even one day in Les Menuires, Méribel or Courchevel. In the main season the difference is €53.50 for an adult week.
- Val Thorens-Orelle: 150 km of pistes around Val Thorens and Orelle.
- Les 3 Vallées: about 600 km, adding Les Menuires, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Méribel and Courchevel.
- One day elsewhere: with a Val Thorens-Orelle pass of 2 days or more, a one-day 3 Vallées extension costs €51 (€41.80 for a junior) according to the Val Thorens tourist office; it is sold only at the ticket offices on the morning itself, if the weather and the links allow. A main-season week plus one extension (€367.50 + €51 = €418.50) is just €2.50 cheaper than the 3 Vallées pass.
- Early December: the gap falls to €48 (€330.50 against €378.50), and a week plus one extension (€381.50) costs more than the 3 Vallées pass.
- Week of 10 April: the 3 Vallées pass costs €378.50 and Val Thorens-Orelle €367.50, only €11 apart.
The extension’s rules and prices: Val Thorens tourist office. Which part of the village suits you: where to stay in Val Thorens.
Children, seniors and Family Flex: who pays less?
Children under 5 ski free, juniors aged 5 to 17 pay about 18% less than adults and veterans aged 75 and over about a quarter of the adult price. Day and week passes have no age reduction from 18 to 74, and the list has no student rate.
- Under 5: free, collected at a SETAM ticket office with official proof of age, such as a passport, and a recent photo (SETAM can take one by webcam).
- Junior, 5 to 17: on proof of date of birth. The age that counts is the age on the pass’s first day.
- Veteran, 75 and over: ticket offices only, with ID and a photo.
- Family Flex: the whole group pays the junior rate on passes of 6 to 21 days: at least 3 people, with one or two adults (18 to 74) and one to six children (5 to 17), the same area and length for all, one payment. A main-season week then costs €301 each for Val Thorens-Orelle and €345 for the 3 Vallées (€271 and €310 at the early rates). Les 3 Vallées’ own page offers it from 5 days, at the same €345.
- Under 30: the ‘-30 ans’ rate (30% off) is for season passes only.
- Disability: a reduced rate on valid proof. French residents show a Carte Mobilité Inclusion marked ‘invalidité’, ‘priorité’ or ‘station debout pénible’; residents of other countries need an official document from their country of residence, in French or with an official translation.
Example: lift passes for a family of four
Two adults and two children aged 8 and 12, skiing Sunday to Friday in the main season, pay €1,380 for 3 Vallées passes with Family Flex instead of €1,532, a saving of €152:
| Pass and period | Standard rates | With Family Flex | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 Vallées, 19 December – 9 April | 2 × €421 + 2 × €345 = €1,532 | 4 × €345 = €1,380 | €152 |
| Val Thorens-Orelle, 19 December – 2 May | 2 × €367.50 + 2 × €301 = €1,337 | 4 × €301 = €1,204 | €133 |
As the children pay the junior rate either way, the saving is twice the gap between the adult and junior prices. A child under 5 keeps the free pass. The rest of the budget: Val Thorens apartment prices.

Beginners can start for free on four covered carpet lifts (Campagnols, Musaraigne and the two Castor & Pollux carpets), then move to SETAM’s EasyRider pass at half the public price: €36.75 for an adult day from 19 December, €33.05 before.
EasyRider, for 4 hours or a day, opens five lifts (the Cairn, 2 Lacs and Caron gondolas and the Cascades and Moutière chairlifts) and the green and blue runs they serve. A junior day costs €30.10 (€27.10 before 19 December). It is sold only at the ticket offices.
Children in ESF’s ski kindergarten (the Piou-Piou and Sifflote classes) need no pass, according to ESF Val Thorens. Once they ski on the pistes, they do.
